OUR HISTORY

CENTRE FOR YOUTH STUDIES started out as the social research services organ of ACSON COMMUNICATIONS LTD. Under ACSON COMMUNICATIONS LTD, we printed and published IVORY TOWERS Magazine from 1996 to 1998.

IVORY TOWERS was targeted at students in tertiary institutions and it combined research and creative writing to examine issues such as abortion, sexuality education, pre-marital sex, smoking, campus cults, choosing a marriage partner, virginity, and HIV/AIDS. We also had the IVORY TOWERS magazine programme at the University of Lagos on the 1st of May, 1998.

The IVORY TOWERS Magazine show also berthed on EKO FM Radio station as Ile-Eko giga, a 15 minute Yoruba life skills, health and behavioural issues and performing arts subset in Opeyemi Fajemilehin’s live magazine programme.
